stuff and stuff

Hi guys. Guess what? The Traverse City episode of Trading Spaces will be airing on September 10th. Neat, huh? http://www.record-eagle.com/2005/sep/01trading-spaces.htm I always though to TC as a place that no one has ever heard of, so I'm always suprised to see it on the national level. I'll be sure to watch.

In other much sadder news, this whole catastrophe has hit very close to my home, and I am stunned by the devastation. Our area faired just fine through the storm (basically it was a really windy stormy day)but just 100 miles west of here, the destruction really began. Biloxi, MS is where we took Jacob just two weeks ago for his Medical Appointments, to Keesler AFB, and it is destroyed. I mean flooded and leveled. And then as you travel farther west, the destruction just gets worse. Thousands from Keesler are on their way here to stay in some sort of Temporary Lodging until the base is rebuilt enough for them to return. Plus, our area is flooded with evacuees. People sleeping in their vehichles in Wal-Mart's parking lot. Our area is very short on gas, and I think it will become even worse soon. Our grocery supply is limited as well, I think first by the flood of people to the area, and secondly a lot of our imports came from LA and MS. We're planning on donating clothing, non-perishable foods, diapers, toiletries, money, etc. as much as we can to the families that are stranded here. I certainly hope that you all will at least drop your $20 in to the Red Cross or something. All these poor people with only the things in their cars, or less.

So that's where we're at with that. School has been underway for a week now, and assignments are rolling. It's hard to keep up with, but we seem to be juggling ok so far. I was sick last week,(technically still am, but feeling better) with mastitis, which is a breast infection caused by breastfeeding. I felt fluish, and had a bad fever, but I'm on an anti-biotic now, and all is well.

Yesterday was our Fourth Anniversary. Yay!

Well, it's time for bed now. I hope all is going well out there.

This is Bonnie...signing off.
