I can't believe it's November already. I disappeared for a bit, but hopefully I'll be posting more regularly again. Despite the procrastination aspect, it does sometimes help to outline various goings on in my life. And besides, we all know I'd be procrastinating anyway, so might as well write a bit.
Not much is really going on, though. Thankfully the semester is going by fairly quickly, at least. Especially considering I'm taking 12 credits of history, all I seem to do is read and write. Which is fine, but it's just a lot of reading and writing. I guess that's the bad part of finishing up most of my gen eds. German is also going well, which is surprising. Usually languages have always been horrible for me, but so far so good.
New apartment this year. It's fine. Nicer complex than last year, and significantly higher rent. I thought it would be worth it, but I'm not so sure. I mean yes there are two fitness centers, two pools, game room, etc. And yes University Commons sucked. But the actual apartment seems smaller and the layout isn't as nice. At least at UC the ceilings were high and the kitchen was huge (compared to the new place). Here it's tiny and the ceilings are low. But it's alright.
I'm single and so much happier than I thought I would be. At first I wasn't sure I did the right thing, but I most definitely did. I'm finally able to be me, and I'm quite content. Especially considering that he and I could never have conversations lasting more than 5 minutes. I need to be with someone who knows more than just football stats.
Oddly enough, Stephen and I talk all the time now. To re-cap, we dated for about 2 weeks in Sept. 2003. We've kept in touch ever since, there weren't really hard feelings when we ended things. I've always considered him one of my closest friends. Hopefully seeing him in December if I end up spending time in NY. He's still in Philly. He's told me he thinks ending whatever we had was the biggest mistake of his life. Not sure what to think, but I'm glad we're still close.
Next weekend I'll be in Boston! I seriously can't wait. I haven't seen Dana in way too long, since March. Plus I love Boston. And we have Imogen Heap tickets!
This weekend Borat comes out, which is also exciting. He was on Conan last night, it was hilarious.
Time to possibly do more reading before passing out :)
