You just passed GO....collect....$800??

I have an interesting credit of $800 that was placed into my account yesterday. After doing a little sleuthing, it looks like it was made by the CCCS (consumer credit counseling service). I used them to help me finish paying off the rest of my public debt....hhhmmmmm...Why would I be getting such a large credit from them? Curious.

I found out that the base might give us Monday of next week off if the pilots have met their goals for total flying hours. Here's hoping that tomorrow kicks off a much needed three day weekend :) .

I've been making friends left and right this week. I'm not sure what I've been doing differently, but I seem to be a magnet of friendship. Quite a few of my new acquaintances are interested in anime (aka japanimation), and they might be just the boost I need to get my anime club idea off the ground.

I've been a racquetball nut this week. I've played at least 1 1/2 hours a night, and I've found a few guys near my skill level that play regularly. I'm hoping that I'll be able to maintain at least three days of play a week once Angela arrives (as well as after our son is born).

I was given some rather mixed news by one of my peers last night. Alex, my co-worker, informed me that he, Seth, and myself will be transferred to mid shift (11pm-7am, I think) as of April 1. This was the main shift that Angela didn't want me to have, and it's going to make things more complicated for a while. On the bright side, I'm going to get higher quality training on mid shift since it's not as busy (or political) as day shift. I like Alex and Seth, and I'm glad that I'll have them there with me. Adam, a guy in my shop that I've been working around since last July, is also on mids with us. Plus, with Alex on mids, his wife will be alone with their daughter like Angela will be alone with Mark. I'm hoping that the two of them get together and watch the kids together instead of hanging out alone. I've said this quite a few times recently, and I feel it's warranted again. I'm sorry, Angela. I'll do the best I can to not make this situation a bad thing for all involved.

So, I did some research on the PS2 hard drive. According to the article I read on IGN, Sony did not use software to allow the drive to act as a giant memory card for saving games (like the Xbox does). The reason given was that Sony did not want to give up their profitable memory card sales. I can see their reasoning from a financial standpoint, but I think it's a poor move considering that the Xbox already comes preinstalled with a drive that has better capabilities. *scratches head* *shrugs* Angela wanted me to buy the drive as a gift for myself, but I don't see much of an advantage to that now. If I really want to play FFXI later on, I'll nab the computer version.

"Did you just grab my ass? Do you want to?"
