Okay.. after thinking about it somewhat, I've decided that there at two main.. dialects? for real-time communication (well.. hm. we'll just say "informal" communication because these types also appear in journal/blog/emails/forum posts)-- the Educated and the Uneducated. They of course effect eachother, but the logic behind the production is based on one or the other of two reasons which are also the namesakes i've assigned. A major difference is that Educated is more likely to use punctuation to either clarify pronunciation based on traditional/literary english language rules or to indicate the relation the new form has to it. And this is where i get distracted and walk off..
