September-October Purchases
Merchandise
Let me start with the cutest things - after the second official Gashapon set (could not get the first… L), I managed to put my paws on another set and they are just as cute as the previous ones! Aren’t they adorable?
This is also my pride & joy - the ‘talking’ figures of the Natsume Yuujinchou boys, including 2 Nyanko senseis. They are not only top notch quality and detailed but when you push the little button on the stand, 2 different lines by the characters (seiyuus) can be heard. Let’s see them close up.
Doujinshi
It was a massive amount of doujinshis, mainly - surprise, surprise - Tiger & Bunny, Kuroko no Basket and also a few original ones. I still did not have enough time to go through all of them… These are mostly from Summer Comiket and a Tiger&Bunny event. I try to stick to my favorite circles, mangakas such as Katou Setsuko, Kodaka Kazuma, Sakura Sakuya, Mutobe Ryo, Watanabe Asia, Inariya Fusanosuke, Nekota Yonezou etc. etc. etc. A few of them came with free goodies distributed at the events - I’m starting to use them (especially the bags), it would be such a waste just to keep them on the shelves.
I got another surprise package - present from a great friend. <3 Thank you again! *hugs*
Japanese manga & magazine
As always, I try to buy the most recent publications of my favorite authors. These past two months I got these:
Forgot to add but during the summer, the local Japanese Foundation Library has a clear-off event where older books, mangas and magazines were offered to take away - for free. unfortunately there was a limit - 5 per person. I took Shounen Jumps, tried to pick ones with Ichigo on the cover. XD Oh and some has early Kuroko chapters as well. :3
English manga
There were a few more silent months in terms of English manga but I still bought a few (or rather the pre-orders arrived).
DVD
Back to Natsume - I’ve purchased the special edition DVD Season 1 & 2 and it was such a great buy! Beautiful box, 2 slim cases that contain the DVDs and a ‘Book of Friends’ which is actually a special booklet with character designs, background images and a few color illustrations. I’ll definitely buy the next 2 seasons, too! And also, after the awesome Junjou Romantica DVD, I hope they will finally license the Sekaiichi Hatsukoi series as well.
That's all! As you can see, I had another 2 splendid months (and I’m really in need of more storage space >_<). :3
