I hate all labyrinths and their itis-es
So I realise that I should have posted earlier to be all hi! Not dead of Swine Flu!
But the truth is, well. I didn't actually have flu that badly. My family and NK had it SO much worse than I did. I got off a little lightly. I even went back to work on Thursday. For 2 hours.
Because I've developed labyrinthitis as a secondary viral infection and the doctor has signed me off work for another week. DDDDDDDDDD:
And, well, I've been pretty miserable. And this could be that entry - where I tell you about how I hate lying around, I hate having to rely on everyone else to do things for me (although NK and Jac have been AMAZING for me) and I hate that I can go from feeling pretty ok yesterday to barely able to sit up today - BUT THIS ISN'T THAT ENTRY.
This entry is to forget the miserable. Because hey - at least I get to know that this will pass, you know?
This entry is to ask you all to tell me what's going good in your lives at the moment. What's great? What's making you feel good? What are you looking forward to?
I want you guys to share your happy with me. I know a lot of the miserable/upset is part of the illness (problems with the vestibular system cause anxiety and/or depression as part of the symptoms) so I don't want to focus on it.
So please - tell me what's making you happy. Or tell me something you're loving. Or someone you're loving. Or tell me a secret (anonymous is allowed) or tell me that you love me, or something you love about me. Or about someone else. Or about a fandom you're loving right now. Or a fic. I want this to be a HAPPY post.
For my part:
1) Jac and NK. They have been STARS. Yesterday NK made breakfast, washed the dishes, went out and got us lunch, made lunch, cooked dinner, washed the dishes and did all of the other things in between that I needed. Jac is just being here - being here and looking after me brilliantly.
2) I get a Cat and TB this weekend. \o/
3) Being woken up at 6am by an explosion yesterday morning and calling the fire department because the paper place next to me was on fire. Would have been more cool if it hadn't been 6am, though. It was very cool to watch the firemen doing their thing from a perfect vantage point.
4) Start my new job two weeks today. \o/ (Because I WILL NOT still be ill then, goddammit)
