Level one signing is a go - but only to British people

Something I forgot to mention. On Friday? I found out that I passed my level one BSL (British Sign Language) exam! \o/\o/\o/

YAY!!!

(Chief (Guy I work with): So now you can talk to officially deaf people?
Baron (other guy I work with): "Officially" deaf people?
Me: Yeah. ONLY officially deaf people. Only if they have paperwork stamped in triplicate to prove their deafness.
Baron: Yeah - unofficial deaf people are a menace. You don't want to talk to them.

Yeah - Friday then turned into a day of "official" everything. Did I mention that I love the people I work with?)

So yes! I can now OFFICIALLY say that I can "talk" to deaf people. And my level 2 course starts in a month. Woooo! Signing FTW!

me, rl
