I have come to realize that being in my PSY 302W Lab is entirely pointless. I am currently sitting in it, and have thus far done nothing at all. I will henceforth be using this time to update LJ, something I haven't done in a long time. For all who care, my life is going well, and I shall now be telling you of my excitingg experiences at work (Basking Robins, for those who don't know where I work). The other day, it was a little slow, and this woman came in and orderd two different blasts. Heather and I got to work on them while John stood there next to the customer telling her that Heather is our greatest "blaster" and has entered and won first in blast competitions. He also remarked that I was doing well for a young new blast maker. Heather explained to the woman, in spanish, that John is a liar and an idiot.
I got 3$ in tips last night as well for my amazing work as a scooper. Really, I think it's all about hooking the customer up. I figure that there is so much ice cream that becomes wasted over the course of a year, that if I give my customer .5 more oz of ice cream, that's .5 more oz that will not be going to waste later.
A few amusing things about my life, last night was an amazing colaboration of work effort on my ABC book that was due today. Thanks goes out to Christina, Kacie, Lindsey, and Loran. The topic was professions. Christina and Loran picked out what job for each letter, Christina spelled out each job on the top of each page, Kacie, Lindsey, and Christina drew and colored the pictures, and I wrote the short descriptions, and did other little bits where needed. We will be getting our grades in a week, I am excited to tell everyone what they got.
I have been really getting into my Lit Block class. We are keeping a journal about this book, This Yellow Dog, I think is the title, which is actually an elementary level book, and the teacher writes back to what we write down. I haven't had this kind of attention since 3rd grade. I really enjoy it, and cannot wait till I have a classroom of my own to write back and forth to my students. I am thinking about asking some of my friends if they would like to partake in the journal back and forth activity with me, but everyone is busy with their own things, I understand.
Final Thoughts: I just went to the bathroom and looked down to notice the brand of toilet I was using was a Dolphin. I don't know how I feel about peeing on a dolphin.
