Last Saturday on the 18th, me and a few friends did this mini outreach where we chip in and buy food products to give away in goodie bags to unfortunate people around town.

Based from my experience it's better to give charity to kids and not to the grown ups. Why? Because grown ups will add the possibility of using the money you give away to buy alcohol, cigarette, drugs, etc. Another thing is that grown ups adds the possibility of mugging you and leave you with nothing if they think you are too careless. Also, the possibility that they will swarm you with overwhelming force that you feel like a victim of a zombie horde or worse. So please be careful when giving charity to an unfortunate community >_< Good luck for your next try =)

I'll tell you my story:
During my last vacation in Cebu (I was at Fuente Osmena), there was this poor little girl begging for money so I gave her some money with the condition that she will buy it for food. But after that, the little girl came back with a friend asking if her friend can also recieve the same. Then 2 became 4, 4 became 8, and so on. In a matter of less than a minute I was swarmed by little kids begging for money >_>' So in order to make sure that all the kids have their share, I asked all of them to fall in line (I asked from the local stall to change my bills to smaller ones) >_< Luckily, they were all very obedient haha XD Hopefully, they actually used it for food or if they gave the money to their parent(s), I hope their parent(s) used it for food or clothes or something that most necessary in life T_T For my next visit, if a swarm of children begs me for money again - I will take them all to the nearest Jollibee to treat them any meal they like and eat Jolibee with them hehehe =D
