Having Fun!

Oct 28, 2010 12:39

Here's to my last semestral break EVER!

And, yes, Kenneth, thanks for the blessing, I finally went out and HAD FUN! Sorry we didn't hang out long enough while you were here in the Bu.

Me and a few friends Mikko and Anne went to Manila for our week long vacation together with our hosts Amanda, Karla and Gaw2x! Thanks so much guys :-) And a little heads up to Hazel coz we talked about gruesome stuff while eating in Flamin Wings! Woot!

Us, basically :-)

We can never forget such a good taxi driver, Homer. He drove us around Tagaytay on our first day and was really nice to us. He must've been bored doing the daily duties of a taxi driver so he allowed us to pakyaw the cab.

Also that night we went to Star City but all outdoor rides were closed coz of the rain! Boo! It rained almost everyday sighh. Anyway at least the Pirate ride was still open.

A perfect scene from Star City. Can you imagine some people puke here?

Mikko and I went again to Star City another night, though (whilst Anne went shopping in 168 with her relatives). LUCKY NIGHT it wasn't raining much so we gallivanted around the outdoor rides!

And for our last night, Anne and myself went with Gaw's barkada from LaSalle who all are fortunately BISAYA! That way if we wanted to say something we could say it freely without having to feel embarassed about speaking English and feeling like foreigners in our own country.

We ate in Binondo (yum!) and drove to Tagaytag for drinks..

Yes, we are bad at Tagalog. Can you imagine how we managed to ask directions while we commuted from city to city? Karla advised us not to speak Bisaya or English lest they take advantage of us and overcharge us for mundane stuff.

That didn't work. I tried to speak Tagalog but there must be some Bisaya accent left in it and no doubt the terrible grammar. For Anne, she faced the truth right on that she can't speak the darned national language and spoke English anyway.

Thank You Lord.. we were in the hands of good people and none of them tried to take advantage of us. :-) So we commuted from Quezon City to Makati via pedicab, jeepney and MRT! Woot! Exhilirating experience!

Gaano po kalayo ang Makati?

Shame. The next time we're flying to Manila I'm reading Bob Ong beforehand.

So school will be back in less than a week. But at least this break was a blast. I'll be looking through our vacation photos whilst listening to Katy Perry's Teenage Dream! The music seems to fit. Too bad we ain't teenagers anymore.

Uh, did I mention that I vlogged Day 1?
