Fear

Your greatest fear?

Basically, the first thing that comes to mind are the trivial things like spiders, dead bodies, height or what..

But is that really called greatest fear? Do you really measure greatness of fear by how much that stimulus gives you the shivers? Do you consider it the worst if it makes you pee all over your pants for the next whole minute?

If you like to be scientific or theoretical, blah, whatever, maybe call those short-term fear. Then there's long term fear.

That kind where you start to say losing a loved one, dying before getting rich, not getting your dream home... the intangible kind of fear, I mean.

And it kinda scares you doesn't it?

The only comfort I get is that I know God has planned it all out already, and ironically, in the same way, that's also freaky.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD,
plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future.

Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me,
and I will listen to you.
You will seek me and find me
when you seek me with all your heart.

I will be found by you.
Jeremiah 29: 11-14a
