SG'S PARENTS
While watching SG I realised how cranky some parents are in the name of love and affection for their children. They assume that every choice that their child makes should be according to their wishes, in fact, some parents don't even let their children make decisions for themselves. In SG, although her parents were from small-town they wanted suvreen to get more exposure and sent her to Delhi. I don't understand how suddenly they had problems with suvreen going on a road trip with her guy friends, going to birthday parties when they knew it was co-ed. They were furious when she told that she would pursue fashion designing instead of eco major and more furious when she wore a chic dress instead of her daily wear kurta policing her that it was against their traditions. The worst part was when they wanted her to top her exams saying that they aren't being unreasonable like other parents and it was their simple demand LOL. I feel so bad for SG and people like her who have to fight to get what they want, and Suvreen was emotionally drained because neither her best friend Yuvraj was beside her nor her parents were ready to support her decision. But despite repeated criticisms and oppositions, I'm so proud that he stayed stubborn to her will and continued working hard.
