Dia de San Juan

ok well today was Dia de San Juan

let me explain.
Dia de San Juan is a day celebrated in Peru on the 24 of June. Its a day to honor Saint John (john the baptist). the tradition on Dia de San Juan is that everyone makes these things called 'juanes' (pronounced : huan-ez) what they are, are, yellow rice, one half of a boiled egg, and olive, and a cooked chicken leg, all wrapped up in a big banana leaf. guess what it represents.
let me tell you:
the juane is in the shape of a sphere to represent john the baptists head. the olive is his eye, the chicken is his brain, and the egg is his mouth.

dont ask me why they do it....its just what it is. its kind of gross to think about it though...steven ate one and afterwards he threw up...i though it was funny.
so today we all went out on the lake and ate juanes. we were going to go swimm afterwards but then steven threw up over the side of the boat and everyone kind of just watched it float there and so after that, no one really wanted to swim in that lake for awhile. then as the sun was setting again, me and steven went out in the canoe and watched the sun set. it was beautiful..again.

oh and me and steven sang can you feel the love tonight at talent night at prayer meeting on wednesday. we won...it was pretty cool. they asked us to do another one so we sang "love lift us up where we belong" (i dont know if thats the real title.) yea so...that was fun...

aiden i miss you. i dont know..i just really miss you
