I talk a lot when I haven't posted in a while.

As previously mentioned, I lost my internet access on the night of the White Collar finale, so I did not get to post about it. My response can essentially be summed up thusly: DIANA OMG. I love her so much. She's so smart and brave and loyal and hot and DO ME ON THE HOOD OF YOUR SHINY CAR PLEASE, DIANA. STAY FOREVER. I don't know whether she actually will or not, but I am hoping very hard. Cruz is fine and all, but I haven't gotten from her in an entire season the amount of personality and awesomeness I got from Diana in 1 1/2 episodes.

novembersmith and I have discovered that the song Mexico by Jump, Little Children (link goes to lyrics) is essentially perfect for a Neal & Peter vid, if anyone were into that sort of thing. It is grossly beyond my abilities, and I am not so much into the "fandom" aspect of White Collar, but I am just saying. It's kind of perfect.

My sister is reading a book right now that was co-written by a large number of authors, all of whom contributed one chapter and introduced one new character per chapter to tell a story. Being the AU-crazed writer that I am, I obviously promptly started plotting out ways to make this work in fandom. It wouldn't be that hard, I don't think. It might take a while, but it could totally be done. My only lingering question is that in catching up on a weeks' worth of lj, it seems that a bunch of you are writing about ice skaters and a bunch are writing about Mouseketeers and a bunch are dabbling in tv fandoms or older established fandoms like Sherlock Holmes and Star Trek. So I'm not even sure if people would be interested in doing a chapter of a fic for something like this, but if you are, let me know. I'm curious. And I do love Projects.

Speaking of bandom: Butcher has a solo project! He is amazingly talented, so I'm very excited for him, even though The Academy Is... are still one of my favourite bands and I need them back with new music as soon as they are feeling mentally healthy again, please. I'm looking forward to new Panic and new MyChem and new Empires, but oh man, TAI. *draws hearts* Anyway, that was a digression away from the main point, which is: Butcher! Solo project! Check it out!

This does also firmly establish that the only truly stable band in bandom right now is Cobra Starship, though. Ahahaha. Ahahahaha. Ahahahahahaha. /o\

Cobra Starship have new video bios, if you haven't checked those out yet. I recommend at least listening to Ryland go on about Charlie Brown, hearing Alex say his name multiple times, and dying of the adorable when Nate explains how he would be the thin, fit, flying ruler of penguin-kind and worshiped as their leader. Nate. He is worming his way into my heart, an inch at a time. Probably through the giant hole Gabe left when he busted through with no subtlety whatsoever. I do love that band.

Tangentially related to fandom, Something Corporate is doing a Live Chat here this Tuesday, the 23rd at 10:30 AM PST. That also happens to be Free Pastry Day at Starbucks, so my sister and I have Big Plans. Pastries, coffee and my musical husband, oh yes.

Rec! Act 3, by inlovewithnight - Gen. It's a story in the format of an article, but the characters (Gabe in particular) absolutely shine, and it felt so real that even now I can't quite believe everything didn't already play out that way. It's filled with humor and gravity and references to everyone in this amazing bandom circle of friends and it's short, so go give it a shot. :-)

Oh! Also, I feel like I should mention: A couple of people have asked if Objects in Motion is a Firefly crossover, and it was not in any way meant as such, but formerlydf informed me that there is a planet named Persephone in Firefly, which might be causing confusion. My apologies; I picked names from world mythologies for the various planets and stations, and didn't realize that Persephone was already taken. I perhaps should have known this, but it has been a good four years since I watched that series. I just really love Persephone. :-P

ETA: I thought I'd said it at the beginning of the post, but I failed completely, so - Happy Equinox, everyone!
