where are all the old lj friends these days?

it has been ages since i've been on here. while reading about the big surge of trendy ramen shops popping up all over the big cities in the states, i came across news that an old LJ friend passed away last month. he was the former chef of toki underground in d.c. he had come a long way. didn't know him well, but he seemed like such a fun loving goofball and had such a passion for food. he was always talking about food.
