moving into a new place of my (our) own is much harder than moving in with friends, because i need a bunch of things that i've never really had to buy before because someone usually already had bought some for the house. Such as:
- dish soap
-bathroom and kitchen cleaning agents
-broom/mop
-porcelain ti-ki cups for fancy tropical drinks.
Speaking of ti-ki, that's my newest favorite theme. When we finally finish moving in, out place will be fully stocked with Malibu rum and orgeat, and there's nothing anyone can do to stop it. Bamboo curtains, here I come!
Also, the Conga Lounge, which to my pleasant surprise is a mere few blocks away, is my newest favorite bar ever. Latin flavor nite? I do!
I toasted meringues with a small hand torch at work yesterday.
