So, plushies.

That was an abject failure.

Okay, so not a complete failure but as for getting an actual product out at the end it was. I made up this pattern probably back at the end of college and this was the first time I had used it. Good on paper (literally), it failed as it came together.

- Limbs: actually not a complete failure, the idea was really sound and I'm amazed I came up with it, but they're really, really long especially in comparison to the body. Cute shapes too, but they need to be shortened, and I think I'll keep the legs as puffy attachments to the body but the arm holes are just too small so I'm leaning toward sewing them into the body seam. Easier than trying to sew a 2 in diameter hole on a sewing machine.

- Head: I didn't even get to it because it was a beach ball. And misshapen. Smaller ball next time.

- Body: This was where the failure came into play and after trying to fix it I just gave up, chopped the bugger at the waist, and now I have a disembodied crotch and a pair of legs. Because I had to have something to show for a wasted weekend, so I went ahead and stuffed them.

Back to the drawing board.

I did manage to make a hanging dragon yesterday as well, so it wasn't a complete failure in the projects department.
