With birthday money I decided to buy some BPAL imps ears. After waffling back and forth for no particular reason whatsoever. $30 to play with perfumes is not that expensive I don't know what my problem has been.
Here are the ones I'm trying (all descriptions copy-pasta'd from their site):
- Black Forest
This is the captured scent of a cold, moonless night, lost deep within the darkest wood. Haunting and desolate, this scent evokes images of fairy tale tragedy and half-remembered nightmares. Thick, viscous pine with ambergris, black musk, juniper and cypress.
- Djinn
The scent of black smoke, of crackling flames, and smoldering ashes.
Obviously I'm trying to create Loki's scent with these. :3 I suck at layering scents so we'll see what these do anyway.
- Dracul
Named in honor of Vlad III, Tepes, of the Order of the Dragon. Black musk, tobacco, fir, balsam of peru, cumin, bitter clove, crushed mint, and orange blossom.
- Black Rider
Black leather, oppoponax, tobacco, and black amber.
And those two come from the Goe list I was creating.
- Embalming Fluid
A light, pure scent: white musk, green tea, aloe and lemon.
It sounded good and the description reminds me of Lan of all people.
- Coyote
The Native American Creator / Trickster God of Chaos and Change. The warmth of doeskin, dry plains grasses and soft, dusty woods warmed by amber and a downy, gentle coat of deep musk.
Another one that just sounds good.
So we'll see! I'm excited, and I'm not going to see these things for a month I'm sure.
My birthday was fun. Did my taxes then went to the psychic fair and got a sudden reading that is making me look at other things. Basically long story short, I don't know what I'm doing with my life, I'm thinking of giving up art as a career choice, I don't want to be an accountant and I was suddenly offered another choice which I'm starting to think about heavily. At the same time I don't want to talk about it really for my own stupid insecurities. I'll probably ramble about it later, as per my usual course.
Eve 6 was an awesome concert, it was so much fun to get to see them live and their opening acts (Audition and Namesake) were really good. It was so goddamn loud though I thought my brains were getting scrambled. Combine that with the fact that I started not being able to handle standing for 4 hours and I moved from my nice spot up near the stage to the complete back of the room because I couldn't handle it tarnished the experience somewhat. But they were awesome and fun.
For my birthday itself it was low-key and I got to read one of my Thor comics (Siege: Aftermath) and have a glass of wine out on the porch. Then Sparks took me out for dinner, and we came back and watched Once Upon a Time. Very nice and fun.
And now I just spilled tea on myself, and work calls. Whee!
