Day 4: Still enraged.

Will stop thinking about the DMV. Will stop wanting to murder the Colorado Department of Revenue. Will not pay a fine because they're too incompetent/slimy to send my renewal in time. Will not touch Outlook at all today because it's a bitch and I've already spent half of this week fighting with it.

Will stop trying to stab everything in sight.

You know it's bad when you fight with your mail. Immobile little pieces of paper that you start screaming at because they're touching you.

Ah yes, this is fun isn't it?

I made scallops last night. Nothing fancy, at all, because I can't sear worth crap, but at least I didn't turn them into little hockey pucks. They were tender and flavorful and quickly becoming one of my favorite foods. I just cooked them in a skillet with some butter and cracked pepper (dude, they're like 90% water. Stick them on heat and they bleed enough of it out to look like I was trying to make soup), and then dropped them into the Tomato Bisque soup I picked up from Safeway. I need to learn how to make this soup because I adore it. I needed to get my roommate soup for her cold last night, so I decided to indulge myself as well.

Made impromptu garlic bread (the really cheap ass version: sourdough, toasted with Parmesan and sprinkled with garlic salt) to go with. It was very good.

I think that was the last of my planned dishes (well, I planned to have the scallops with rice and ginger teriyaki sauce, but this works just as well), so I'm winging it from here on. I have an artichoke to use tonight with....something. I'll figure it out. I also have a zucchini I need to plan something with. And I need to get sake for the not-spam musubi. (Gonna use tofu because no matter how much I want to eat spam I just can't eat meat anymore. As Saylon would say "I taste the death." It's weird. And sucks because I miss sausage.)

Oh, I am planning on making peanut butter cookies, but that can't really go with artichoke for dinner.

food is good, crazy, die die everyone die
