So I have my costume idea for Halloween this year already. And the fabric too. (I'm hoping this means I'll have more money at the end of the year if I get it all out of the way now. Because I think I've just burned through three months of budget now.)
I'm going to do an Alternate Alice in Wonderland.
The main idea is that my roommate is doing her version of Alice which blends the book and the Disney movie. I'm doing the Alter one that's kind of a little bit American McGee Alice, a little bit White Rabbit and Red Queen, and a little (lot?) of
Tom Petty. XD
The plan is to do another photo shoot like the Barbie one, except that we're getting into epic prop territory. Going to have the Drink Me bottles, hopefully something Eat Me, giant clocks, giant keys. Thanks to our city's random arts infusion there's a giant doorway downtown somewhere that'll be perfect. And then of course a tea party.
Sparks is doing the usual blue and white dress and mine will be black and white harlequin, with a black apron and red trim of undisclosed type. I really, really wanted playing cards. My crinoline will be red as well.
There'll be a lot of stalking Goodwill for props and we both still need trim, crinoline and wigs, and i need to figure out what I'm doing with the tights. There are playing card tights, so I might just have to get my cards in that way. We each still have to decide on the wigs as well. We're going to get the nice $45 ones, one in blond and one in black. We just have to decide which of us is wearing which.
Should be cool though. We're hoping for a green, summer shoot.
I've spent way too much the last few days. O_o At least I have more yarn for Freya's thing.
