is a student witch today. (I got to dress up! :3 )
Sooooo.... the dress is almost done. Just have to finish the ribbon sash thing (Mine will be bright Barbie hot pink, not burnt orange) and then, done.
I fucking danced when I finished sewing that stupid top.
I've got the giant ring. I've got the giant necklace (that I need to string on a necklace). I might have earrings. I might have a costume.
I'm still lukewarm. I am a shit tailor apparently and the sewing is crap throughout, but when I put the trim on the skirt it was liked it gained 50 "pretty" points. I liked it. I was excited when I put it on instead of the previous "oh god what the hell did I make?" The sides suck, but you don't see the sides because I've got 80s sequins along the top of that ruffle. It was the perfect touch. I'm hoping the hot pink flower the size of my face that I'm going to stick on my waist will distract from all the top's flaws just like that trim did.
The only thing I don't have is that giant fluffy stole of doom. Which kind of sucks, but I'd have the same problem with it that I did with the skirt so you know what, not gonna go buy more tulle.
Total for the dress has hit about $200, or just under. Twice what I wanted it to be and I really don't want to think that it's a freaking $200 dress. A $200 dress should look better.
Bah. Anyway. The only other things of note this weekend was that I became obsessed with a song, and found fanfiction. Didn't even play the game because, fanfiction. Oh god I'm such a dork. DX Save me from thinking Ezio's assassin robes would be cool to make! DX
The one good thing that came out of the fanfiction is that all the descriptions of Leonardo makes me really want to paint now. So badly. I want to pull out my oils and do...something. But my room looks like a tornado came through after the earthquake hit since I haven't had time to do anything but sew for the last couple of weeks.

I'm still leaning towards NaNoMangO even though I don't know what to do. Anyone have any suggestions? Since it would be straight practice, I'm totally open to doing fanworks- which is something that wouldn't happen if I went the writing route. But I can't touch NaNoMangO if it was one of my own stories. I tried that once for a class, got 7 pages in, then had a psychotic break and parodied Princess Bride in chibi form for the last 3 pages.
With a fancomic I wouldn't care how stupid it seemed. At least I hope so. Normally I'd run with my current obsession, but I can't even come up with anything besides demented little drawings of Leonardo being all cute and crazy. XD
I could tackle a bunch of different little vignettes. Anyone have anything they want me to illustrate? RE? DA:O? It could be as stupid or insane as you want. Crack is fun. :3
