I’ve got my first computer at the age of 9. And I used it mainly for playing computer games. About internet I found out at school at the 5th form. But that time I was not really interested in it. I suppose I just didn’t need it at that age.
And now I can’t imagine my life without internet. it helps we a lot with my studies. It helps we to find a lot of useful information in no time. It is rather comfortable as you don’t have to leave your room when you need to find something. But at the same time I think that internet can’t replace books and libraries. As for me I am keen on reading real books with real pages. And I see no pleasure of reading through Internet Technologies. Moreover it was proved that computers influence badly on our health, not only on our eye sight. That’s why I don’t like spending hours glued to a monitor.
I actively use internet only for last 2 years and I use it mainly as an educational source. May be that is why I can’t understand the sense of some web sites. From my point of view a lot of sites were created for killing time, or just for lonely people who have nothing to do.
I can’t but mention that internet has one unquestionable plus. With the help of it we can easily communicate and find new friends. Personally I have many friends around the world, and internet gives me an opportunity to chat with my friends without spending so much money on telephone talks. This way I still keep in touch with my friends via emails.
Consequently I’d like to say that internet is the great invention when you use it reasonably.
