American Dramas vs. Japanese Ones: High School dramas III
And there is another theme ever so popular with American teenagers (and not just American ones): vampires in high school. Here I have a problem: don’t like it. Somehow it does not work for me. Did not like Buffy, don’t like the Twilight saga. And the Japanese vampires don’t make me lose any sleep. He-he. With the latest Japanese entry into this genre (“Koishite Akuma” (Vampire in Love)) my constant reaction was “Oh, just bite her already and be done with it”. The same reaction I had for Twilight.
Although I do have to admit: the brooding 16-year old Japanese vampire looks awesome.
