(no subject)
So Kim is on her way home. We've had an awesome week together, even if the weather didn't cooperate completely. We hung out, slept in, ate some good food, drank some damn fine decent hard apple cidar, talked Supernatural and fandom in general, talked/ranted shop (the joys and heartache of being municipal clerks), we talked tv, movies, friends and family and just about any subject you can think of, up to and including rimming. O_O
Basically, the week was about taking a break from real life and hibernating with a friend who gets it. And I think we enjoyed the HELL out of it.
Tomorrow is back to work for me. I've already been alerted to the fact that there's going to be an emergency Union meeting on Monday. Our contract us up in June, and the negotiating committee has run into a total brick wall with the Town's committee (which includes the Troll, who is still trying to fire my boss, btw). What the Town is asking for in concessions is reportedly EVERYTHING, and the emergency meeting is to inform all 60+ members of the union just how dirty the dirty pool is that the Town is playing.
As for my boss, his pre-termination "hearing" for last Friday was cancelled. (His lawyer and the Town's lawyer talked), and as of today, it hasn't been rescheduled. In the meantime, the boss's cold has progressed into either a sinus infection or bronchitis or both - I'll find out for sure tomorrow.
Ahh...KIM COME BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!! I'm not ready to go back and face all this shit! *chuckle* We don't call it "As The Town Turns" for nuthin'.
