So much drama...
So work lately has become the stuff of nightmares. My boss, Dave, is on a knife-edge of being terminated tomorrow morning, due to a witch hunt of personal attacks against him by the Troll of a Town Manager we have. To sum up: she can't fire him on actual work-related reasons or failure to perform his job (because he hasn't, and there aren't any examples for her to cite), so she's made it a personal attack on his personality/demeanor. She has suspended him for 5 days, as of last Friday, and tomorrow morning there's a "pre-termination hearing" at 8:30am in her office, where he can "plead his case" and bring anyone he wants with him to help. Problem with that is: Dave's wife has her radiation tx at 8am in Providence (her breast cancer came back, after a 12 year absence), then he had already planned to take the day off for a long weekend. And he's TOLD her this, but she's still talking to us like it's supposed to happen.
Personally, I think she's gonna issue a termination when Dave doesn't show up tomorrow morning. Then his lawyer will have to get busy, and Dave has promised us that he won't go quietly. I hope he blows this town up and exposes the shit that is going on in the town government that the residents don't know about.
In other MUCH BETTER news: I'm outta here at noontime today to pick celtprincess13 from the airport for a very long holiday weekend of fangirling n' shit!!
