Stuck, stuck, stuck

SDLFIKJ;SLDJF;SDL Why am I struggling so much with this one chapter?!

I'm still stuck on the first chapter of Ocean, Dark and Deep, and I am seriously thinking of just skipping it. I'm usually okay with skipping a chapter or scene that I'm really struggling with, but since I just started, I feel like I'm being lazy. On the other hand, I've been flailing over it for like, four days now, so I maybe I should just skip it.

All of my books in this fairy tale series begin with action scenes, because they're horror, which is fun to read, but I really struggle writing action scenes. Seriously, they're like my least favorite thing to write, even though I usually feel they turn out well. The scenes in the first two books were a big fight scene and a chase scene, respectively, which wasn't too hard. The scene in this book is taking place on a ship, though, and it's storming and someone gets tossed over board, and I don't know...it's just harder. Maybe because I don't know much about ships, but I keep getting stuck.

So maybe I should just skip it, for now, or maybe write the little bit of dialogue there is and skip the action-y parts. I don't know.
