nothing is ever simple

Today I got my schedule from Kohl's.

Sunday: 7 AM to 12 PM
Monday: 6 AM to 12 PM
Tuesday: 3:30 PM to 10:30 PM
Wednesday: 6 AM to 12 PM
Thursday: 6 AM to 12 PM
Friday: 9:30 PM to 2:15 AM
Saturday: 6 AM to 12 PM, 9:30 PM to 2:15 AM

Now, my math skills are equal to a first grader's, but I'm pretty sure that comes out to be about 46 hours. Every day of the week. And with room for about 1.5 hours of sleep in between shifts, unless I sleep in the store. Someone better be playing a joke on me.

I'm faced with a dilemma. Kohl's has proven to be unreliable, but there's the promise of benefits. I've never even *seen* who my boss is there. The boss I actually know has offered me a raise that would put my salary above Kohl's, and he says I can have full time hours if I want them. I could have a pretty regular and decent schedule at a place I almost completely loathe with no benefits at all, or I could make slightly less money at a place where my hours will never be regular but I could get some benefits.

My head is spinning. I want to be a student again.

A couple of my friends are in Benita Springs, FL right now at a nice condo on the beach. I hate them. I would give anything to be on a vacation right now.

A friend of mine is out of the country, and for his father to keep his job, his parents have to move to California. He has to stay here and finish school so I've offered to go in his place. Then again, I want to be here when he gets back for our five pots of coffee. We sat in a bar one night trying to sober up and I swear that must be how much coffee we drank. If I try and give caffeine up again, I'm going to have some major headaches to deal with.
