Rereading Gerard Manley Hopkins is every time a pure pleasure - for the mind, the eye and the tongue. What he does with words, with rhythm, with rhyme is beyond amazing. His invention of new word-forms and use of alliteration is probably what I like most about his poems, though his imagery always strikes the deepest emotional strings inside. A fantastic poet I always recommend to anyone.

My favorites:

God's Grandeur

The Windhover: To Christ Our Lord
