Dealing with the awesome power of the ZZ-R so far has not been a problem. Although I nearly dropped it yesterday as I approached a junction, indicated, looked, started to move out, only to have to hastily brake as some muppet in a tricked out Subaru Impreza came screaming out of the blind side of the bend to the right of the junction. As I was already starting to lean into my turn, the bike suddenly became VERY heavy and started to tip sideways, only a quick stamping down of the foot and then hastily slipping the clutch and getting the bike moving about three inches behind the bumper of the Impreza stopped me from ending up in an embarrased heap on the ground.
Today I was mostly hoping to be out and about on the bike as Jo is working today.. looks like I'm going to have to concede to the weather though :-(
The BBC website says it'll be cloudy with no rain this afternoon, so all might not be lost though.
Work has been a trial this week. You know, its hard to get enthusiastic about getting a bunch of pipework made, welded and on to the unit we're building when the bloody engineering/drawing office keep coming back every few hours and changing what I've just done. There's one particular piece that I've worked on and altered no less than FOUR times already. Talk about wasting company money. I've a good mind to sit down in a chair Tuesday morning and flatly refuse to do anything until they've decided what the FINAL design is going to be. Its God damn demoralising that's for sure. Also, the overhead crane has been condemmed. 2 years ago we had the end carriages replaced and the thing rewired... for an extra 5 grand, we could have had a BRAND NEW CRANE COMPLETE. Instead, they're now going to have to buy a new one for 17 grand instead.
Wonder who's going to be joining the dole queue to pay for that :-/
Anyway, enough of rambling... tell those damn camera companies that I want a pair of voice activated live-shades for taking pictures just like my hero. Spider Jerusalem.
