The German Shepherd did his job
Four more days until New Zealand!
But first, a story. So. As you folks know, we got a German Shepherd puppy last October. Rosco is now 5mo old and a whomping 55lb or so. He's a big boy and probably will grow still more.
He's sometimes in the house and sometimes outside. When all of us were gone this morning, I put him in the backyard and locked the door before heading out for a few hours, no one was home for 4-5 hours. When my mom came home, she called my dad... my dad got a text from our neighbor.
Apparently our neighbor found Rosco sitting out in the front near the garage and the backyard fence door wide open. He doesn't ever try to leave the yard. My neighbor managed to get him to go inside the yard and even as he was shutting the fence to the backyard, Rosco growled at him to stay outside. What my neighbor thinks happened is that someone tried to come into our backyard, but Rosco growled at them and scared them off.
So scary, but what a good dog. Very glad to have him around protecting my family while I am gone from the country.
