Thank You to Peter Jackson: Bag End
TheOneRing.net, in October/November of last year, wanted to send a thank you letter to Peter Jackson, the folks at Weta, and the rest of the crew for fighting so hard for 'The Hobbit' films. Last year there were a lot of problems with MGM, the NZ Equity actor's union, and other hub bub, and folks such as PJ, Fran Walsh, Richard Taylor, and others fought really hard not only to see the films happen, but to keep the films in NZ.
I was asked to do the cover artwork and some doodles throughout the letter. Seeing as how 'The Hobbit' starts at Bilbo's front door, I thought it appropriate to start the letter with said door- and I included the 'sign' that Gandalf scratched into the door in the chapter. They did not describe the sign so I did a little rune that looked like a B- for burglar, of course ;)
The doodles throughout the letter are food items mentioned through 'An Unexpected Party', the first chapter of The Hobbit. The end of the letter is a drawing of Tolkien's Lonely Mountain and Smaug as seen on Thror's map.
I could not post this until the letter was sent to Peter Jackson and Weta, and while it took a while, I was given permission to post this today, so I assume said letter is in route XD It was made public on the message board, at the least. Not sure if it will be on the front page or not.

On a completely different note, some of you may know how allergies can cause severe mood swings and depression. I am severely allergic to basically everything outside. While I won't die or anything so dramatic, it *does* seem to cause some severe emotional responses- I mean, more than usual ;)
While I'm going to start taking allergy medication all throughout this month, it won't alleviate all my ups and downs. So, if I am acting strange or say something strange, please, ignore it. If I *ever* say something that hurts or offends you, please send me a private IM to tell me (like, an hour after it happens, they seem to not last longer than an hour). I definitely don't want to offend any of my friends.
