Can my parents just please toss me a frickin' bone here...
So.
My friend Martin that was my best friend for like 10 years, and who I've recently become good friends with again proposed that we both go down to LA to visit USC (we both hella wanna go there) - no parents - road trip - over February break. So then I came up with the genius idea to see a taping of Mad effing TV since I have sadly been obsessed since about 7th grade.
I now have in my possession four tickets to the show, as well as two great, hilarious friends (Martin and Tina) who have been granted permission to go on what could be potentially the coolest thing of my life.
And of course my parents are stalling.
They haven't flat out said "no" yet but they keep doing that retarded "we need to discuss this more" routine, and I'm just SO FUCKING ANNOYED. The worst part is that my mom pretty much told me I had her blessing yesterday, and then today when she brings it up to my dad, she has to point out every potential drawback (Martin drives too fast, you'd be going to visit when school won't be in session, where are you going to stay, LA is far) in the world.
I'm sick of it hanging in the balance. I'm 18 years old, I've worked hard, and the past few months have been hell. I deserve a break, and this would be THE AWESOMEST way to let go.
God. How am I supposed to live with this? I am so amped for this trip and right now all I can think about it is whether or not they are going to crush my dream. FKFDSKGL
