i opted to go to Harry's on sunday instead of the usual Publix or Krogay in hopes of finding some meat and produce worth paying for.. plus i needed pine nuts b/c i planned on harvesting my basil that i had been "raising" all summer. i prepared grilled free range all natural chicken breasts, fresh pesto to go on bow tie pasta, zucchini and onions, and garlic bread. my roommate said it was one of the best meals i've cooked in a while and i agree. dessert was going to be papaya, but it was not ripe, suprisingly.
we have 2 trainees at work right now. what sucks is they are learning two differnt things, so it is nearly impossible for one person to do the trianing. i've been having to train them both b/c my so called "partner in crime" has been on semi-vacation all damn month. she was scheduled to come back yesterday, but mysteriously came down with a kidney infection. i sure hope she comes in today b/c i dont think i'l make it into work at 9.
yesterday i went to the gym and worked out for a while on the tread mill. my tv choices (keep in mind it is at like 1:00) are Fox news (or CNN if i'm lucky), ESPN, NBC, and some other network channel that plays soap operas at that time of day. so that meant i watched the 9/11 stuff on Fox news. it was pretty interesting, but just seemed like a ploy to sell books people wrote about the event. now i did see a cool one that my mom would have liked (dog heros or something). it has a golden retreiver on the front of it.
rusted root is friday and i'm taking a half day (maybe more if i feel like it). i'm trying to convince the boy to go hiking somewhere nearby. i saw people in the park with picnics and it looked fun. he said we could have a picnic, but it seems like that would just be tailgating, since the game is at home on saturday. i guess i can settle for that. it seems like a lot of people are selling tickets for it too, so maybe we can score some cheap ones. or at least go pet Uga before the game. i never did that when i went to school there.
oh, and STS9 is sold out already apparently. i'm really excited about this show. i really want to go to bob weir also, but i'm a little intimidated about the mail order ticket process. oh well.
anyways. i need to get a move on so i'm not TOO late for work, in case blonde girl takes it upon herself to take ANOTHER day off. which she conveniently works from home, which we are specifically not allowed to do. i guess she can do whatever she wants b/c she is, well, a blonde girl.
