(no subject)
i just took blazer for a walk/jog around the neighborhood and to the park. i got honked/hassled by a few mexicanos in automobiles. blazer drank from the doggie fountain for the first time! i'm a proud mama!
this weekend i attended a hippie festival in rural buckhead, ga. it was to celebrate/commerate something about j.garcia (maybe his death). there were some good dead covers and it was deadly hot. i helped serve pizza and assorted grilled items for the amici tent. i also drank a lot of terrapin, the official beer sponsor of the festival. it was nice of them to only charge $3 a beer. the night bands were pretty cool. i got to see a really nice sunset and some amazing stars. i havent been to a real hippie event like that in quite a while..
right now i am cooking some brown rice. i'm about to make something with the remnants in my freezer/cuppboard (organic ground turkey, frozen green beans, vidalia onion, golden rasins).. its bound to be good. i also need to do some grocery shopping. i really loathe the publix that is next door, but am not sure if i feel like driving to krogay or spending the big bucks at whole foods/harrys.
i was just informed that i need to collect 60 non-twist off brown beer bottles in 2 weeks! i pride myself on being a beer drinker, but that is an ambitious goal! i just rescued 4 from the recycling bin outside and commondeered 2 from the counter. only 54 more to go! that is some incentive to go buy and drink some beer if i've ever heard one..
blonde girl got a new Coach bag this weekend. it is super cute, but $200?!?! she told me that the one she had before (1/3 the size) was $250, so this was a bargain! riiight... i thought i had spending issues..
i saw the new weeds on friday. it was meh. not too funny, kinda disappointing. i suspose they were trying to catch viewers up to speed until they start with the good stuff.
work is going ok. i'm still underpaid, but my boss keeps promsing he has something up his sleeve. we are about to graduate to new cubes with 9ft tall walls. i hope i am near the window, b/c that is going to block all possible sunlight. however, this will be a huge improvement from our current 6' w x 6' l x 4' h cubes. we are practically sitting on top of each other and there is no privacy. so.. the privacy will be nice if anything. i'll just get a bright lamp if i'm not by a window.
