random update
so i've been in "boston" all week for work... what sucks is that yes, i flew into boston, but am actually 30 minutes away from boston.. plus i dont have a car, so i can't really go there... except for tomorrow when i go back to the air port.. oh well
anyways, the trip was pretty good.. it has been some crazy heat wave, so everyone is freaking out.. though, it just feels like atlanta..
one night we drove to new hampshire to get some lobster... they took them live out of a tank and stuck them on a scale in front of us so we could look them in the eyes before they got thrown into the boiler.. someone told blonde girl that the lobsters screamed when you threw them in the water, so she was afraid to eat them.. heh..
then the boss took us to the beach, which was quite nice.. i thought it was strange that there were no shells.. just a lot of cool rocks..
we got taken out to a fancy seafood dinner last night.. they
insisted we order "steamers" (aka clams) for the table.. i didnt know how to eat them, so the waitress decided to give me a demo and then feed the damn clam to me.. it was pretty unexpected but hilarious nontheless.. i had some striped bass and seaweed salad which was quite good...
i spent the past two days in the same room for a workshop.. there were people from sweeden and twaiian (which i thought was thailand... different countries apparently).. i always enjoy working with the global people..
hopefully my flight will be on time tomorrow.. i should be landing around 2:30, which means i'll be getting on the highway around 3:00 if i'm lucky.. for some reason i am breaking my athens rule and am going up there after i get off the plane.. luckily i have a life saver in my car (leftover from last weekend), so that will tide me over for the ride up there...
i didnt get to see any of my northeastern peeps (nahna, billy goat, tom&co).. maybe next time.. i think i am coming up here in the next couple of months
anyways.. enough of the random update... time for bed
