My god getting the Tournesol was a pain in the fucking arse, but I own it hohoho... smashing 100 hours gameplay whilst advancing the story none, breaking through the level 60 barrier with Basch. My team is now called Team Azzkikr.

I've thought about getting that. Were the items easy to find? I have more than half of the rare monsters, Vaan is over lvl 60, Basch, Balthier and Fran are close to that (I use Balthier as my healer, he's super speedy with spells for some reason) Hit the 92 hr mark this weekend, but I'm farther than you. Got the Chaos esper too, fought Gilgamesh for the first time, gotta go find him again. Where/how do you get that Jar thing? Um, that's it for me :)

You get the jar on the bazaar after selling a few Mark reward loot items, can't remember exactly what it's called but it costs 250,000 gil.

And what part of "a pain in the fucking arse" implies the components for Tourneseol were easy to get? :p

Yes and no, it's fairly easy to create Gemsteel. The Empyrean Soul and Sepentarius is only bad because both needs High Arcana. You can get a few as rewards from Montblonc, I'd sold mine off so needed to hunt for two in game which is the shitter.

Finished the game now, breezed through the Pharos and after that there's not a whole lot of game left. Just the elite crap to finish now if I can be bothered - feeling burnt out though.

It's exhausting sometimes. The rare monsters are hard to get a hold of. I usually play through FF games at least twice but I don't think I will with this one, so gotta get everything the first time around. Wee!

Hah! If you think 250k is bad wait till you see the whopping 600k for the Tournesol lol. There are ways to farm though, brilliant one in the Zeromus room once he's defeated.

I'd like to start again really, learnt about a lot of stuff after it was too late - but then again that's an overall problem with the game, some of the good loot is so vaguely placed you'd never get it without reading some sort of guide. Take the Grand Armour, rare drop on a rare mob!? Fucks sake...

Yeah, I went to kill Zeromus just to kill the baddies after he dies, but then *I* died, so no good. But I'm more powerful now. I'd like to have gotten the Zodiac spear but you can't open certain chests. I open every one I see, damnit.

Exactly! What sort of stupid function is that, and the only way people know that is because it's been leaked through the people that created the game to the offical guides. It's absurd that so much top gear is obtained in this way. Hell, bring back that fight club from 7 so at least you can earn it properly.
