2014 - %extra
While I had hoped to bring something new to the table with my first post of 2014, inspiration is definitely lacking, so this will have to suffice. I've seen several people do this, and thought it might inspire me so what the hell.
Best of '13 Results
Observations: For the first time in forever (tehehe) I have quite a deep love for the icon that won for me. It was in my top 5 for the year, and out of those five is definitely my favourite. There are also 3 icons from my personal top 5 in that selection, so I'm pretty thrilled about that as well. I'm also really stoked that some icons range from May-December, and there are several from my final post being included in there. I don't think are any icons from earlier in the year, which is okay by me because those icons were generally experimental messes.
What I'm most happy about is the fact these icons represent the techniques and elements that I thought were my strengths in 2013. Though when I compared the same pool of placing icons from 2012, there were only 2 in the peoples choice selection I loved wholeheartedly, where as this year there is only one icon that I'm kind of on the fence about being included, so it's probably just a stroke of luck that the 2013 selection came out the way it did.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate, through nomination or voting. I definitely found some wonderful new faces to watch during the process, and it was a heck of a way to begin a new year!
