I need to get better about commenting on entries, until now I've been a serial lurker, but I adore your icons. This one that I'm using right now is one of my favorite Fringe icons and definitely my favorite of that scene. And I've seen caps of that scene used over and over again but this one is just... it's just good. I love the crop, I love the stillness of it, I love how eery it is and how much the coloring supports that, because what is Fringe if not eery?
1. I don't know where to start with this one. Can I just say "everything" and be done? Again, you just do such inspired things with caps from scenes that have been iconned to the ends of the universe and all the way back. Everything about your style is fresh. I love these colors and how very well this icon portrays that image of Jack alone amidst all of that chaos. 2. THIS CROP. I would consider rotating icons very risky but whenever you do it, you make it work. 3. This feels like it was a larger graphic resized into an icon, not because it looks weird or anything, but because it such a powerful image. This actually inspired me to play around with caps from that scene myself, which resulted in this icon. 4. Buffy caps are so difficult to work with, so I don't know how on earth you manage to make your icons look so very soft, but I am definitely grateful for it. And any time that you combine blue and yellow, it's a total home run. I really love how you bring out the yellows in Buffy caps specifically, though; again, it's very fresh and something I've not seen a lot before.
Thank you sooo much! I love that that third one feels like a larger graphic because it's actually one of the ones that didn't start out large, though a lot of my icons do. And that icon you made is GORGEOUS, omg.
