38 The Virgin Suicides for inspired20in20.
I am only capable of being inspired by one fandom at a time. True story bro. For a while there it was Doctor Who, and now it appears to have moved itself to The Virgin Suicides. Not that I can't icon other subjects, but at the moment I only want to icon The Virgin Suicides. TRUE STORY.
This months inspirations were based around the concepts of Warm and Cool, and I kind of went with all different and varied interpretations. Sometimes it was the colours, other times it was the emotions, I suppose the two went hand in hand with the subject matter (seriously, these screencaps were PERFECT for this round, and the movie/book itself is so melancholic and eerie and beautiful), but the overall theme was clearly most prevalent when making these. I discovered a couple of things while making this batch as well. The first is that I will forever love yellow & green as a combo. The second is that I appreciate purple, but in general am not an avid user of it and don't really like the results when I am. The third is that blueymcphluey's textures + extremities = colouring heaven. I'm actually satisfied with all of these icons, so picking 20 of them was harder than usual. I think I'm most happy with the ones I picked... though I'll probably hit post to journal and want to change them all over again. Thankfully, I still have a 20inspirations claim with which I can allow my muse to run free with. But enough rambles... how bout those icons?
