Last night, the earth moved and the bed shook and rattled...
I thought that somehow the upstairs neighbours had got hold of an industrial strength (silent) tumble-dryer, though I did wonder why the motion seemed to be coming from under the bed. I hoped for a few excited moments that we might have suddenly acquired a friendly poltergeist.
Apparently there was an earthquake! 5.2 on the Richter scale.
Boo! - extensive damage.
But Wow! Nature!
