HI AWESOME PERSON WHO KNOWS ABOUT COOL HISTORICAL STUFF :D ♥

Urgh, god, the research for this is so much fun, and you can just dig and dig for hours finding out more things (No, no, of course I didn't spend ages trying to find out what the exact layout of the baths in Calleva was like; that would be madness ;D).

Ha ha, thank you so much for catching that error! I have no excuse for it other than that the thought of Marcus in the altogether was very distracting and I was all 'MARCUS IS IN HIS UNDIES. NOW HE IS TAKING THEM OFF. WHAT IS SPELLING...' I'll fix that up good and proper ;D I was thinking about whether to have him wearing a subligaculum at all before I posted, but I figured that since he was wearing it in his hot fur bed of hotness at the fort that it was internally consistent. Hmm, my Latin dictionary has bracae with one c, with the double c as an alternative spelling. OH, LATIN, YOU PRETEND TO BE ALL REGIMENTED AND ORDERLY, BUT REALLY YOU ARE A FICKLE CREATURE.

In short, I am helpless with squee that you enjoyed this bit :D Thank you so, so much ♥ There will be more!

MAN I KNOW. Um. Yes. I love the research sooooo much. It is the best fandom because it has research.

*nods* I like to leave them off most of the time for, uh, convenience, but either is a reasonable choice.

Interesting! I have not seen the single-c spelling anywhere--double-c seems to be overwhelmingly preferred.

*bounces with joy*
