Friends cut has been made. I'm expecting a backlash from at least one person, so might as well let me have it.

A lot of thought went into this. I didn't want to do it. But there were lots of reasons behind it. Please respect me enough to understand that this hurt me a lot.

Just one question, 'cause it'll just keep bugging me if I don't know. Did me getting cut have anything to do with the fact I voted for Obama?

if that had anything to do with it, a good majority of my friends list would be gone (since, what, 80% of American LJ is liberal?). as I told someone else, I made a spread sheet and on the columns part, I put 7 things that were important to me and none of them had to do with any particular political stance.
