The Pursuit of Identity

Oct 29, 2008 12:39

I always come down to ask myself who am I really? I hate being a person I'm not. It's like I'm covered in so much rubbish and it has found it's way to overlap my identity. I miss the person I was, and I just hate being a careless person. I do care. The other night my best friend Stephanie and I were asking each other questions. I then asked her "What is your favorite quote?" She responded saying, "I told you the one from Tokyo Drift, remember?" And I was like "Oh yeah, I totally had forgotten about that one." The quote goes like this,
"Who you choose to be around you lets you know who you are." And to be truthful, I can see my true self, my real identity with her, my real sensitive butt! lol. One of the crap i've been soaked in was aggressiveness. I'm anything but that. I noticed a few of my friends have brought that on me because they themselves are like that. I mean I can be aggressive of course, but not to like my friends, and frequently. But they're always like that and it's been passed down to me. And i noticed the change and I didn't like it. Some of my friends noticed it and they were like woah. I know I'm not like that, but there's a time where they went too far that I started to act all careless and stuff with them. But until now, I'm starting to be more of myself with them than to be more like they're turning me into. Just now a minute ago I finally got the chance to talk to Gray. It was a pretty intense conversation on msn. She was blabbering about how I've been ignoring her and stuff. But she herself hasn't talked to me either. I've never been really aggressive with her but lately I have been but she hasn't seen to notice I guess. It's just that, I hate how she's been treating me lately, like if we're related and starts talking all this crap. My goals for God has even faded away because I've been so distracted from a lot of things lately, and my mind has been toying with me. I just want to be the person I was before. More humble, more sweet, more careful, more mature. People have taken advantage of my sensitivity, that's left me to show a side of me that doesn't exist. That I won't let grow.
