Kamryn's "Debut" Party
Soo... we had Kamryn's Debut party yesterday. It was supposed to be an "open house" type party, so that people could come from 3-7pm in stages and see the baby, etc...munching on various foods that we had prepared... as it turns out just about everyone on the guest list showed up around 3, so the house was absolutely filled to the brim with people.
The first guests to arrive were Samantha and kids, Baba and Tammy! I haven't seen them in over 3 years, and it was very nice of them to come. I'm so glad they were able to make it. It just so happened that Sam and the kids were down this weekend from Georgia, so that's great! Of course both sets of grandparents were here, as well as Granny and Papa (my grandparents) Jen, kids and Debbie stopped by. Marc's brother and his family are down for the 4th, too, so they were here to meet their niece for the very first time! Grandpa Lee and Stacy bought Kammy a swing, and we got lots of other adorable things for her, too....and Debbie got us a baby bath which we needed desperately.
The party (other than being a little overwhelming for Marc and I at first) was a big success. Everyone ate the food like they had never eaten before....everyone got to hold and spend time with Kamryn, and the baby did great despite all the noise and strange people holding her. She only cried a couple times, very briefly...and that was cause she was hungry or wet. We got some nice pictures, and I even had the guests sign a spot in her baby book with blessings and advice. Of course, onyl 4 pepole signed it, but still, 4's better than no one!
Anyhoo...got chores to do, will try and post some pictures from the party later.
