So yeah, I've been lazy the last couple of days and haven't updated. I know, I suck. ^_^

Got to stay up late with friends and chat, which is always good. I think I watched about three hours of AMV's, which oddly enough now has me on a strong Squall/Irvine kick, cause think about half of the ones during that time period were Final Fantasy based. I had *no* idea there was a fandom out there like this for the FF games. There were quite a few costumes based on the FF games at the con as well, including one Squall, but he made me want to cry cause... well, let's just say he didn't look anything like Squall. There was a really good Tidus though, I think from FF9. Or maybe 10. Hell, I don't play the games, I don't know. All I know is that Cloud is in 7 and Squall and Irvine are in 8. Any other gorgeous men I should know in any of the others?

Oh, there was a Zoro from One Piece there. He was *gorgeous*! I saw him later Saturday night in the AMV room, and he had lost his shirt somewhere along the way (which was *not* a bad thing), and he was sleeping! It was so cute! I was trying to figure out how to take a picture of him without either waking him up or making his friends think I was a freak, and then they woke him up and left. *sigh* Oh well. I did get a picture of him earlier that night though, so at least I have something. I'll have to post it whenever I'm not being lazy.

So I never did buy any doujin, cause they didn't have anything I wanted. *sob* But I did end up buying some more G Defend, so now I have vol.1-5. I was going to go back and get the next five Sat. night, but the dealer's room closed earlier than I expected, and we had to leave before they opened Sun. morning. So I thought we'd go to Mitsuwa and check out their selection, which we did early Sunday morning, and to my dismay, not only did they not have G Defend, they don't carry any BexBoy manga at all. Which sucks, cause they carry the magazine. *sigh* Guess I'll have to order the rest online. But at least I got the first five, right gnine?

Also found Kizuna in English, which I was glad about. I had heard it was being put out, but hadn't been able to find it at any of my normal manga buying places. Yeah, I know I could buy it online, but I'm too impatient for that. Even if something would be cheaper, I'd rather pay a little more and have it in my hands *right now*. Cause like I said, I'm impatient.

Found a sticker that says 'Give me Yaoi or give me death.' Wanna put it on my forehead, but I don't think work will appreciate that. Have to find someplace else to put it. gnine, I really liked your 'I love Yaoi' bag, and I was really disappointed when the con didn't have them. But they gave me a web address, and I think I'm going to order one. Jeremy also found me a site that sells t-shirts with sayings about both yaoi and yuri, and I think I'm going to have to get a shirt once I get a little money.

Oh, xparrot, I finished that book, and of course loved it! I need an address from you to send it your direction. Thanks again to all of you for letting me borrow them. I'm working on the Hellgate ones now.

I have seen a ton of anime during my time as a fan, and have become fairly deeply involved in a few different fandoms. (though I'd be willing to bet that most of you couldn't guess how long I've been a fan. Erica, Bonnie, Jeannine, Emilie, Becky, you guys don't count, you already know.) Saiyuki is definitely the one I got the deepest into, though I had a brief stint in InuYasha, Escaflowne, and Hellsing before that, and a ton of stuff afterwards, the biggest being Weiss Kreuz. And now I'm stuck on Squall/Irvine, and thanks to someone *eyes paxnirvana and bleedthefreak*, I'm now getting addicted to Kakashi/Iruka from Naruto.

Anyway... Here's the question. For all these fandoms, there are really only two I have any interest in writing for. That's Saiyuki and Weiss Kreuz. I like characters from other shows, there are other beautiful boys that I like to see together (Kyo/Yuki from Furuba, for one), but I have no interest in writing them. What is it about a fandom that makes you want to write for it? Is it the characters? The situation? A pairing that isn't well represented? I used to think it was because I was filling a gap that I had noticed. That's kind of why I wrote 'A Simple Kiss'. I loved the Sanzo/Goku pairing, and wanted to see more of it. So I wrote it myself. But that isn't true for Weiss. I love the Aya/Youji pairing, but you certainly can't say that there isn't much of it out there. And there isn't a specific plot I've been looking for. In fact, the only reason I haven't pumped out a story yet is cause I couldn't find a plot that hadn't been done, and done better. But still, through all that, I have a serious drive to write Aya/Youji. And I've finally come up with a plot I haven't seen done (at least with them), and I'm looking forward to writing it for NaNo. But *why*?? So, you ladies that write, why do you write the fandoms and pairings you do, and why not others? What attracts you to a pairing that makes you just *have* to write it?

Blah.

Work.

Thank god it's my friday. Then it's on to 3rd shift as of 11pm Monday night!
