BORING
I went to Berkeley yesterday, I didn't get back until this morning. It was so much fun even though my dad was freaking out the whole time. I drove there myself, then I met Zheyun and we took the BART to SF. We had to take a bus to get to Japantown, but it wasn't that hard I suppose. I just kept getting paranoid because I thought perhaps I had the bus schedule/line wrong. However, we survived! It makes me feel somewhat independent.
At Japantown we just shopped around basically.. I got a bunch of school supplies and a few snacks, but I was trying not to spend all of my money just incase I needed more later. I also bought a novel and a couple of manga just to keep up with my Japanese for the next two weeks before I take the placement test. I need to study a bit, but hopefully I'll do fine. I went to help sensei today anyway, so I can at least have some speaking practice with Romei and Yuki.
Anyway, I spent the night at Zheyun's dorm room and left after she had to go to class. I hope I can go again! I miss Berkeley, it's amazing. Definitely where I want to be.
Oh, today I bought my textbooks too. I think I got off lucky, only $150! I bought half of them new, too. One of my classes doesn't even have a textbook. It wasn't listed online so I went to the bookstore to check but the worker there said there wasn't a text for the class. Yay? I can't tell what that will mean for the homework aspect, though.
Kind of annoyed because one of my professors is a graduate student and not an actual professor. And she hasn't taught the class before. At least the main novel we're studying is Jane Eyre, lol. Yay, comp/lit part 2!
