Something that's been bothering me for a while...

Right-io then...this has been on my mind for quite some time now...

I've been playing D&D for a while now (all those who want to scream nerd, shut up because I can't hear you...), and I've been involved in a long-running campaign. Everyone who is playing enjoys it a lot, and we wish it to continue. I'm happy with the way things are running in it...I enjoy the role-playing, I enjoy the adventuring, and I have finally gotten myself a character that I like to play, and that I'm constantly developing.

Though, someone in the game is out to get me...one of our own party wishes to effectively knife-me-in-the-back, and their reasons, I believe, are unjustifyable. The way I see it, their reasons are not as such that it can be justified to have reason to kill me in the game (ie, in the game I've wronged them greatly somehow - like stolen their possessions or killed their friends). I think their reasons stem from outside the game, for something in the real world that I have done. And this, I see as being VERY unfair.

In D&D, you're supposed to take yourself out of the real world and immerse yourself into a fantasy world. Nothing from real-life should come into any reasons for action within a game. That is not role-playing. That is just plain unfair and injust to a major degree.

I will leave with this warning. If an attempt on my characters life is made, be prepared, because I will have no qualms about taking justice into my own hands and slaughtering you outright. I can do it, and you know I can.

Once again, this is the most unfair thing I can think of someone doing - especially for the fact they can be so petty to have to make such a statement in the game, when they'd be better suited by doing it in real life.
