First things first: welcome to my journal, akima_san! :)
Now, for a meme - okay, so I meant to do this ages ago, but kept forgetting. XD Without further ado:

1. England
I, um, live here. :P Um... what else to say... I've never lived outside of the country (though I have travelled abroad), although part of me kind of wants to emigrate somewhere abroad. The country kind of pisses me off sometimes, but, in hindsight, it really isn't that bad and I do love the culture.
2. Job-hunting
One of my biggest annoyances. I absolutely hate it, and it's pretty pointless the majority of the time, since there's hardly anything out there, I'm dreadful in interviews (on the rare occasions I'm offered them), and, if I do apply for a job, it's rare that I'll even get a response to let me know if I haven't been successful. *sigh* Mind you, signing on for Jobseeker's Allowance is even worse. I absolutely loathe the majority of the people who work at the Jobcentre, since they tend to be miserable, smug, arrogant cunts who treat you like dirt. I just wish I could get a full-time job.
3. Video games
One of my favourite pastimes, I've been a gamer since I was seven and I don't plan on stopping any time soon.
4. Pets
I love animals, especially cats. At the moment, I have two cats, a boy called Snufkin and a girl called Chiana (named after the characters from Moomin and Farscape, respectively), and they're nearly three years old. I also have a guinea pig called Gogo (named after the character from Kill Bill) - her sister, Vivi (named after the character from One Piece) sadly passed away last year. I also have a cat at my mother's house called Dougal, and he's around 11-12 years old, and I also consider my in-laws' cats (Bob, Sinbad, Gracie and the late Tessy and Harry) to be like pets to me, too. As was growing up, I had nine guinea pigs (Cleopatra, Muffin, Mushroom, Toadstool, Poppy, Coco Pops, Clover, Nutmeg and Minstrel), three mice (Boris, Brendan and Crusher) and two budgies (Dorothy and Nora).
5. Family
I like to think that I get on with my family (well, close family, anyway) more than I used to - I don't argue with my mother much any more, I've grown a little closer to my sister, and I (sometimes) find it easy to talk to my dad now - "sometimes" being the operative word. I don't get on with my dad's wife at all, though - sure, we pretend to, but I'm well aware of the fact that she greatly dislikes me, so, yeah, the feeling's mutual. I get on well with my gran (my dad's mum), and it tends to fluctuate with my nan and grampy (my mother's parents). As for the majority of my cousins, however... well, I'm 99% certain they don't like me. Don't ask me why; because I honestly don't know why.
Off to take some headache pills and snuggle up with Euan now. Laters. <3
