Okay, I'm getting really fed up with the snow - sorry, make that ice - now. It is lethal outside. I almost slipped over several times yesterday afternoon and this morning walking to work, because the pavements just seem to be made of thick ice. I walked on the snow that was still fluffy whenever I could.
It was particularly bad yesterday when I was walking up a small slope, before I started thinking "Hang on, I'm going backwards here". Yup, I was sliding backwards down the slope. A passer-by offered to help, but I politely turned them down and used a nearby fence to hoist myself up instead (not sure why I didn't think of that before...). Had the fence not been there, I would have taken up the offer.
I don't know why no-one's bothered to throw grit or salt down in the worst areas, particularly by the store itself, which was really, really bad. Lots of people walk through that area, so you'd think it would make perfect sense.
In other news, I completed Mirror's Edge yesterday, after neglecting it for a while. I loved it, but, is it just me, or is that game freakishly hard? It took me at least half an hour if not longer to get past one section of the final level.
Either that, or I just suck hardcore at it.
My cold seems to be getting better, but my nose is so sore right now. >_< Ugh.
I will get the snow pics I took up soon. Y'know, back when the snow was fresh, and not as annoying as it is now.
