"We never should've had sex with the neighbours!"

Okay, so I finished watching Series Two of Sugar Rush yesterday.

All in all, I enjoyed it, although I think I may have enjoyed the first series more. The first series seemed a lot more emotional than this one. The second series, however, did have several moments that really made me laugh out loud.

I wasn't overly impressed with the last episode, though. It all seemed a bit too rushed. It was like the writers were desperately trying to cram too much into a 25 minute timeslot. I especially wasn't too keen on the last few minutes of the episode - Sugar bursts in, devastated that her flat has gone up in flames, then all of sudden she cheers up, just like that - "Oh by the way can I move in with you kthnx!". It was just not that convincing, sorry.

And what of Stella's pregnancy? I wanted to see some more of that particular plot point, but it was kind of brushed under the rug. Also, if Nathan was the only person allowed to not use contraception with Stella - have the writers forgotten the fact that Nathan's vasectomy was mentioned in the first series? I'm pretty sure it's possible for pregnancy to occur even if a vasectomy has been performed, but only in very rare cases. Even so, isn't it a bit strange that the subject of Nathan's vasectomy wasn't brought up once during the second series? Unless, of course, the contraception failed on one of Stella's other sexual partners.

I also think they could've given Saint more of a personality. I dunno, she just seems kind of... bland compared to Kim and Sugar. That being said, I did enjoy seeing the relationship between Kim and Saint develop, even if it did seem a bit rushed and topsy-turvy at times, and I LOVED the episodes involving all three of them together, especially when they go all "Charlie's Angels" to steal some money from Sugar's ex-boyfriend (Sugar: "We'll be like Charlie's Angels. And Saint's the ugly one"). XD That was fucking brilliant. It was just excellent watching the different personalities bouncing off of each other.

I'm now even more annoyed that a third series was cancelled. Sodding Channel 4.

Anyway, sorry that this seems somewhat incoherent, but I'm trying to type all this before the laptop conks out again.

I'm still hungry. Bah.
